A series of props made for the films 'How To Fix Your Memory Loss!' and 'I'll Carry It With Me' - all related to the concept of memory.
Inspired by the 'Portable Sculptures' exhibition at the Henry Moore Foundation in Leeds 2021, I wanted to be able to explore the physicality of memory by making memories into tangible objects. A common theme within the act of trying to recall and remember is to have a prompt, or being able to visualise what we are trying to remember - such as a list or photograph. I wanted to elevate the everyday shopping list or ticket by taking it through the process of craft and printmaking. The intimacy of taking time, care and attention to amplify something trivial through craft enables us to biologically cement its importance in our minds and makes it more likely for those things to become memorable.
